At Javo, we are proud of the people who represent us worldwide. This year we are celebrating a special milestone: Massimo Gallini has been representing the Javo brand in Italy for 25 years. At IPM Essen, we highlighted this moment and Massimo was put in the spotlight by the Javo team.
The start of a successful partnership
Massimo’s involvement with Javo began in 2000 when he was looking through his then employer for a potting machine that would fit seamlessly with their own machines. Javo turned out to be the right match. Thanks to the partnership, Italian growers’ confidence in automation and in Javo as a brand grew.
Growth and change
In 2008 the situation changed and Massimo started for himself. Javo saw this as an opportunity to start approaching the Italian market directly and Massimo was the perfect candidate to further build the brand in Italy.
Massimo’s personal approach was a success. At the time, plane tickets also became cheaper and Massimo took customers to the Javo factory in the Netherlands. Customers recognized themselves in the history of Javo and saw similarities in the history of working hard and having passion for their business. This trust contributed to Javo’s continued growth in Italy.
Innovation and reliability
An important moment for Javo in Italy was the introduction of the Javo Plus. This model of potting machine connected well with the Italian market, but initially had challenges with processing Italian potting soil. Thanks to direct communication between Massimo and Javo, the machine was improved.
The power of relationships
Massimo believes that success in this industry is not only about good machines, but especially about strong relationships. “Anyone can supply machines, but the people behind the company make the difference. You build a good reputation by keeping your customers happy.”
The future of Javo in Italy
With success also grew the need for additional support. Massimo knew he could not continue to represent Javo by himself and decided to look for strengthening. Fabio Costantini, an experienced technician, worked as a freelance engineer for Massimo, and their collaboration intensified. In early 2025, Fabio’s company Costantini Cuoghi was added to the worldwide network as an authorized Javo dealer for Italy. This new team not only provides service and sales, but also ensures that Javo remains strong and locally represented in Italy in the future.
We are extremely grateful to Massimo for his dedication and commitment. Thanks to him, Javo has become an established name in the Italian horticultural sector. We not only celebrate 25 years of success, but look forward confidently to the future with Massimo and the new team at Costantini Cuoghi in Italy.
